Gecko Edge InPlay
‘Twas the Friday before Christmas… when all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. The stockings were hung by the chimney with care.
And it felt like the perfect time to fire up Gecko Edge and check the half-time scores.
Friday evening before Christmas. Not exactly a packed fixture list but I actually prefer quieter fixture programmes — less noise, less distractions.
Gecko Edge InPlay – The Quick Filter
One of the benefits of Gecko Edge InPlay is being able to dig into match trends and stats quickly. When you’ve got a bunch of games running, you need a way to narrow things down.
My approach: look for matches at half-time or early second half, with zero or one goal so far. Low-scoring games where something might be building underneath the surface.
On this particular Friday, four games fit that criteria. I ran the Gecko Edge In-Play Analysis Smart Prompt on each to see where the +EV opportunities were.
Three looked worth a closer look.
Valencia vs Mallorca
Half-time. Mallorca leading 1-0.
Here’s what Gecko Edge had to say:

Based on this, the main trade was Over 2.5 Goals, with Both Teams To Score as cover.
On 52′, Duro equalised for Valencia — BTTS lands. That also let me trade out the liability on Over 2.5, locking in profit whatever happened next.

Mallorca had a late goal disallowed, which would’ve been nice. Match ended 1-1. Still a 0.5pt profit.
Barrow vs Cheltenham
Approaching the final 20 minutes, tied 1-1.

I placed a Lay on the Draw, weighted towards Barrow who looked more likely to break the deadlock based on the analysis.
Cheltenham ended up scoring a late winner. Not quite what was predicted but because the game was already in its closing stages, I’d already removed most of the liability and left a small profit on.

Swansea vs Wrexham

This was the most interesting one.
Early second half. Swansea losing 1-0 at home to Wrexham.
If I’m just glancing at scores, I’m probably scrolling past this. Home team behind, nothing obvious there. But Gecko Edge flagged something I genuinely wouldn’t have spotted myself:
“Swansea are producing elite-level attacking metrics (1.07 xG, 13 shots) yet trail to an own goal. The market still offers value on the Swans to score the next goal (1.83) and on Over 2.5 (2.38).”

The scoreline said Wrexham were winning. The data said Swansea were all over them on every metric except goals. And they were only behind because of an own goal.
Same approach as Valencia: Over 2.5 Goals and BTTS. If Swansea score, I break even on BTTS at minimum. If more goals come, the Over 2.5 pays.

Swansea scored on 70′. Time in market: under 20 minutes. Locked in a half-point profit by trading out the Over 2.5 liability.

Then Swansea got a 91st-minute winner. Gecko Edge was spot on.
The hidden metrics clearly showed Swansea were the better team and dominating everywhere except the scoreboard. All the signals pointed to a comeback, and that’s what happened.

Gecko Edge InPlay: The 20-Minute Session
Short on time? Gecko Edge is good for that.
Got 20-30 minutes? Here’s the approach:
- Load up Gecko Edge In-Play
- Pick a match already in the second half
- Run the In-Play Analysis Smart Prompt
- Take one or two of the higher +EV recommendations
Example: Juventus vs Roma

Everything pointed towards a Roma equaliser. So I split the stake across BTTS and Over 2.5 as usual.
Juventus scored on 70′ to make it 2-0, just as Roma were pushing. But Roma went straight down the other end and scored on 75′. Final score 2-1.

One match. One trade. 35 minutes. Exceeded the session target.
Whether you’re trading for a couple of hours or just have a short window, Gecko Edge works.
